Audacity comes with links to a variety of sources to assist you in understanding how to use all of the program’s features. These resources include the Quick Help Guide, a full guide, Wiki and User Forums, in which you can ask questions and get feedback from other users.

Audacity is capable of recording and playing audio, and supports input and output files in WAV, AIFF, MP3 and OGG formats. The application supports you to edit audio with cut, copy, paste (unlimited undo), mix (mix) songs or use effects for recordings. In addition, Audacity allows recording speech or tracks, blending sounds together, adding effects and editing songs, along with noise reduction, for better sound. Audacity can save the sound through a song played from a computer, from a CD or any other music player. Audacity supports recording audio from 16 channels at once (provided the hard drive must support many different channels).
