Gameplay
First of all, this game is extremely difficult to play and challenging for you. The game has a storyline similar to “Enter The Dungeon”. If you’ve ever played you can see the similarity here. Your task in this game is to wipe out enemies in each level with your own heroes.
Each hero has unique abilities that you can exploit, such as some of them capable of using weapons, avoiding bullets, stealth enemies power, and many other abilities. Of course, every hero has its own charms besides weaknesses. You can activate some characters. Some characters can be activated with gems, while some can only be purchased with IAP for $ 1, but for poor gamers like me, free heroes are enough. If you lose, you can spend 200 jade or watch an ad to be revived. Or simply start over again.
On some level, after defeating all enemies, you will receive a buff that will benefit you in the next level. There are also mercenaries who help you in the process of playing. You will lose money to hire them, which can be earned if you win. With up to 3 mercenaries, they will help you get a lot of work done.
Weapons and pets
Throughout each door, weapons that you use will be different, including guns, blade, bow or laser… Soul Knight has 170 different weapons for you to choose from. To use a weapon, you will need mana or soul (blue bar).
Each weapon has its own strength, such as when using a gun you can destroy enemy units quickly but consume a lot of mana so you rarely use this weapon. While the blade can deal bigger damage, its range is quite short, and I like to use blades because it does not cost mana.
You always have a pet with you, originally a cat (my favorite pet) to help you fight the enemy. You can buy another pet, but they just seem to be a different skin color.
Unlock new heroes
Each time you open the game, you’ll be taken to Living Room, where all the heroes in the game appear. Each hero has different stats and a special ability.
You can buy new heroes with money in the game, while some heroes can only be purchased for real money.
When upgrading heroes, you will receive additional stats including HP, energy, cooldown reduction, ammunition …
Graphics
One of the things I like about Soul Knight is the legendary Pixel 2D graphics. It reminds me of the adventures I played many years ago on 4-button machines. You will be extremely satisfied with this simple graphical platform, besides the attractive sound in the game.
Currencies
The game has different currencies: gold, gems. Gold is used to hire soldiers, and support items. While Gems is the high-end currency, used to purchase new characters and pets, upgrade your current characters, along with other buffs.
